This year, 42 participants came forward to shave their heads for a good cause. The event also attracted non-DSTA staff from MINDEF and some contract IT staff. Even our security guards decided to take part! Deputy Chief Executive (Strategic Development) Teo Chin Hock kick-started the event with a ceremonial shave of our first DSTA participant, Acting Head Cheng Ching Kang from C4I Development Programme Centre.
Senior Engineer Andy Yeo from InfoComm Infrastructure Programme Centre said: “It is a small sacrifice to me, as the hair on my head will grow back anyway. When I read about how these children had to cope with cancer, I felt that we could do more than just donate money."
